Rooted in Local Culture and Identity, Rising as Global Champions

Curriculum

At the World School of Bangladesh, our curriculum is uniquely designed to provide students with a strong foundation in both local and global education standards.

We prepare our students for two pathways: the English version of the National Curriculum and the Cambridge International Examinations. This choice, offered at Grade 9, allows students to tailor their education to their future aspirations.

Regardless of their chosen path, all students are required to study Bangladesh Studies, ensuring they are deeply connected to their national heritage. Muslim students will also take Islamic Studies, while students of other faiths will receive instruction that respects and reflects their own religious values. This approach ensures that all our students are well-rooted in their identity and culture, fostering a strong sense of belonging and pride.

Early Years (Playgroup to Kindergarten):

This section focuses on foundational learning, nurturing curiosity, and fostering a love for discovery through play-based activities. It integrates language development, basic numeracy, and social skills in a nurturing environment.

Primary School (Grade 1 to Grade 5):

This stage builds on foundational skills, introducing a more structured curriculum. It includes subjects like English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, aiming to develop critical thinking and a deeper understanding of core concepts.

Secondary School (Grade 6 to Grade 8):

This phase prepares students for more advanced studies. It offers a broad curriculum, including subjects aligned with both the English version of the National Curriculum and introductory Cambridge International Examinations content. The focus is on strengthening analytical skills and broadening knowledge across various disciplines.

O & A Levels (Grade 9 to Grade 12 for Cambridge IGCSE):

Students can choose between the English version of the National Curriculum and the Cambridge IGCSE track. Both pathways emphasize comprehensive preparation for future academic and career opportunities, while maintaining a strong foundation in Bengali culture and Islamic values. This stage focuses on in-depth subject knowledge, critical thinking, and global competence.

College Counselling for International University Admissions

At World School of Bangladesh, we provide comprehensive college counseling services to support students aspiring to study abroad. We work closely with both students and parents to plan for a successful future. From an early stage, we guide students in selecting the right institutions and subjects. We also help them navigate the processes for relevant tests and aptitude assessments. Our goal is to ensure that every student is well-prepared to embark on their higher education journey with confidence.

Transition Support for Diverse Educational Backgrounds

At World School of Bangladesh, we pride ourselves on offering a unique transition support system for students from various educational backgrounds, including General Bangla Medium and Madrasah. We help these students transition seamlessly to the English version of the National Curriculum or Cambridge International Examinations.

Our approach begins with thorough assessment and placement tests, allowing us to tailor support to each student’s unique learning needs. We take the time needed to prepare them thoroughly, ensuring a smooth and confident transition. As one of the few schools in Bangladesh offering this comprehensive support, we are dedicated to helping students achieve their educational goals, regardless of their starting point.
